神戸学園都市地域における異世代交流による知の伝達の試み

神戸学園都市地域における異世代交流による知の伝達の試み

研究概要

少子・高齢化の更なる進展、核家族化、情報通信技術の発展によるネットワーク化などの社会変化に伴い、地域や家庭において世代間コミュニケーションは希薄になり、世代を超えて受け継がれてきた身近な庶民生活文化の伝承（以下、「知の伝達」）は衰退化してきた ように思える。同時に上記の社会変化に伴い新たに生じる不安に対して「安全安心で元気な地域づくり」が叫ばれ、これを実現するためにも地域や家庭における世代間コミュニケーションの重要性は広く認識されている。一方、神戸学園都市には高等教育機関の他に一般住宅 が存在し、通学する若者を含めて幅広い年代の地域住民が共生しており、地の利を生かした世代間コミュニケーションが期待される。

上記の背景の下、本研究班「神戸学園都市地域における異世代交流に関する調査（代表：秋吉一郎）」は、世代が異なる住民による集会やイベントの計画、開催も念頭に置き、世代間コミュニケーションのあり方についての提言を目的として、当地を中心とした世代間 コミュニケーションの現状と住民意識の調査を行った。なお、本研究では、コミュニケーションの手段として「ケータイやメール」、コミュニケーションの方向として「若年層から高年層へ」について、特に注目することとした。

次表は、研究期間中に開催した8回の研究会とその内容である。内訳は、セミナー2回、地域住民と学生による座談会2回、現地調査1回、事前事後の検討3回である。

第1回には、第2回以降で行ったセミナー、アンケート調査、座談会、現地調査に関しての全体的な検討を行った。第2回、第3回は講師を招いてのセミナーであり、前述の住民による集会やイベントの企画、開催の先進事例について知見を得た。

本研究班では、世代間コミュニケーションの現状と住民意識の調査のためにアンケートを2回行ったが、第4回には1回目の調査項目の検討を行った。また、この調査に併せて、「世代が異なる住民が集会し意見交換する座談会を開催しては？」というアイディアが出され、 第5回には座談会で取り上げる話題について検討を行った。

第6回、第7回にはこの座談会を開催し、研究会メンバーを含めて地域住民、学生、約20名による意見交換が行われた。第6回では、世代間コミュニケーションに関する共通話題として「パソコン、ケータイ、メール、料理、健康」などが挙げられた。第7回では、第6回の 結果を踏まえて「ケータイとメール」に話題を絞り、「ケータイとメールの当初目的と今後の利用」、「世代間コミュニケーションを広げるために大切なことは？」といった切り口から意見交換が行われた。また、本研究班は、座談会で出された意見を踏まえて調査票を改定 して2回目のアンケート調査を行うことを決定し、その調査項目の検討を行った。第8回には、地域住民集会、地産地消について異世代交流事例の現地調査を行った。

2009年5月現在、2回目のアンケートの調査票の収集が終わり、集計と分析が進行中である。なお、その結果については、今後大学紀要等での発表を予定している。本研究期間中に地域住民による集会やイベントの開催には至らなかったが、地域住民、学生による座談会を 2回開催でき、意見交換を通じて参加者が異世代交流の重要性を再認識できたことは本研究の成果の一つであったと考える。本研究で得られた知見が、今後の「安心安全で元気な地域づくり」に向けた地域活動のコミュニケーター的役割を担うことを期待する。
