大学体育授業における評価と方向性について

研究概要

平成3年度の大学教育に関する大綱化により、大学体育も必修科目から外れ、現在多くの大学では体育実技が選択性になってきているのが現状である。また、授業数の削減という状況下で行われている。我々は単にスポーツ実技を教えるのではなく、また、健康に関する知識を教えるだけでもない「身体的なアプローチによる教育活動」という全般を考えなければならない。いずれにせよ健康教育を啓蒙する場として大きな意味を持つのが大学における大学体育・スポーツ科目だと考える。大学体育がその目的や意義を十分に果たしているか検討された研究は大学体育改革に必要不可欠であり、受講学生が授業をどの様にとらえているのか詳細に分析検討する必要があると考えられる。

本研究では、大学体育（以下体育・スポーツ実技とする）の授業がどの様に受け止められているのか、また、どの様なスポーツが要求されているのかを明らかにする。研究方法は、受講学生より授業の内容に関する授業評価アンケートから調査・分析を行った。アンケート対象者は、流通科学大学n=467、神戸市外国語大学n=253、神戸女子大学n=101の協力をいただき、延べ人数1,375人を対象に調査を実施した。

結果として、１、「履修理由について」の問いに対して、男女とも「楽しむため」と言うことが履修理由の一番となった。また、「運動不足解消のため」という理由が男女それぞれ上位を占めた。２、「2年次以降の履修希望に関して」男女とも50％以上の学生が是非受講したいと言う結果が出た。また、「卒業単位として認定されるのであれば受講したい」を加えると、男女ともに90％の学生が受講を求めていることが分かった。３、「履修希望種目」についての調査結果は、人気のあるスポーツ種目は男子1位サッカー、2位ソフトボール、3位バスケットボールとなった。女子1位バトミントン、2位バレーボール、3位バスケットボールとなった。全体で見ると、1位バトミントン、2位バレーボール、3位バスケットボールの順になった。授業評価における結果は、40項目の質問から7つの因子を導き出した。F1として「授業の楽しさ」に関すること。F2として「教員の指導」に関すること。F3として「授業計画」に関すること。 F4として「授業への取り組み」に関すること。F5として「適切な授業内容」に関すること。F6として「コミュニケーション」に関すること。F7として「知識と内容の理解」に関することに分類する事が出来た。その中で各因子間に以下の相関が認められた。F1「運動の楽しさ」とF2「教員の指導」、F1 「運動の楽しさ」とF4「授業への取り組み」、F1「運動の楽しさ」とF5「適切な授業内容」、F1「運動の楽しさ」とF6「コミュニケーション」、F2 「教員の指導」とF5「適切な授業内容」との因子間で0.6以上の高い相関を示した。また因子負荷量はF1「運動の楽しさ」で最も高く、全体の分散の 33.6％を占めるものであった。

まとめとして、履修については「楽しみ」、「運動不足の解消」といった現代の若者思想を反映した回答とともに、現代病である「運動不足病」について解消しようという努力が認められる。2年次以降の履修については、90％の学生が単位認定されれば履修を望んでいる事が認められた。人気スポーツ種目については、各大学においてニーズを生かしたコースが設けられている。また、各大学において個性ある種目開講が望まれている。流通科学大学においては、夏季・冬季における学外コースや、神戸市外国語大学においてはスキューバダイビング等特殊なコースに人気が有る事が認められた。授業評価については、40項目の授業アンケートから行った因子分析では7つの因子が抽出され、とくに「運動の楽しさ」が重要な因子であると認められた。この「運動の楽しさ」を体験することにより生涯スポーツへの発展、自発的な体力づくりへの取組が期待されると考えられる。
