ユビキタスネットワーク社会におけるモバイル技術の利活用

研究概要

1. 本研究の目的

   ユビキタスは「いたるところに偏在する」という意味で、ユビキタスネットワークとは「いつでも、どこでも、誰でもアクセスが可能なネットワーク環境」のことを指す。こうした情報ネットワーク社会の中で、ケータイに代表されるモバイル技術は飛躍的に発展を遂げ、現在では若年層だけでなく高齢者や児童達にも利用されるようになってきた。

   本研究の目的は、ケータイなどモバイル技術の利用実態を調べると同時に、モバイル技術の活用法が、これから高齢化がますます進む情報化社会の中で、安心・安全な生活を送るための解決法として調査研究を行うことである。

   本研究は3つのフェーズに分けて行う。

   1. ケータイをはじめとするモバイルの利用実態調査

      各研究構成教員が所属する大学等の学生や教員を対象としてモバイル技術の利用実態調査を行う。

   2. モバイル技術の動向調査

      モバイルの最新基礎技術動向と先進利活用事例について情報収集並びにヒアリング調査を実施し、モバイル技術の利用動向調査を把握する。

   3. 新しいモバイル技術の社会での利活用策

   １、２の調査・資料収集をふまえてこれからの高齢化社会や少子化社会でのモバイル技術の利活用策を模索する。

2. モバイルの利用実態調査

   ケータイに代表されるモバイル技術の利活用法を探るため、主にｹｰﾀｲの利用状況についてアンケートを行った。

      • ケータイの利活用実態（利用の有無、利用機能、利用理由、料金、不満、希望機能など）
      • インターネットと情報機器の利用（インターネット利用の有無、通信回線、情報機器）

   全体の約７０％が10歳代と20歳代、全体の約６０％が学生（高専生を含む）、男女比はほぼ同数で、全体の８０％がケータイを所持している。会話以外の利用機能では圧倒的に「メール利用」が多く、また、利用者の多くが「通話料金が高い」、「基本料金が高い」と感じるなど、通話料金に関する不満を持っている。

3. モバイル技術の動向調査および新しいモバイル技術の社会での利活用策

   ＧＰＳやＧＩＳとの連携したシステム、ＩＣタグの利活用例など、多くの新モバイル技術あるいは関連技術を組み込んだシステムが数多く提案されている。また、ＱＲコードやブログなど、すでに各種の応用システム例がある。詳細は、「研究成果報告書」で報告の予定
