研究概要

1. はじめに

   H14年度UNITYの共同研究として「科学的なものの見方を楽しく啓発する方法の研究」のテーマが認められたので、研究の一環として小学生とその親を対象とした公開講座「びっくり科学手品教室」を開催した。公開講座開催の趣旨は多くの情報や知識を得ているはずの現代人がいかに簡単にだまされるかを、「数学パズル」や「科学手品」の種明かしをすることにより証明し、科学的ものの見方の大切さを知ってもらおうとするものである。

   • 開催日時：2003年12月20日（土）　10:00～12:00
   • 開催場所： UNITY大教室

3. 教室の内容

   一見超能力かと思われるような現象を見せる科学手品や数学パズルのかずかずを、できるだけ家庭に帰ってもできるような材料をもちいて披露。力学系科学手品を土居、電磁気系科学手品を大多喜、化学系科学手品を松本、数学パズルを木村が担当した。

4. 募集方法と応募者の状況
   • 募集方法

     小学生とその親に限定。定員はもうけず、神戸市広報、サンケイリビング西区版、ビバ!ニュータウン。

   • 応募状況

     開催前日までにUNITY事務所に親子１２０人ほどの申し込みがTELであったが、当日はこの冬一番の寒波が来たためか、参加者は８５人ほどであった。

   • 受講状況
   • 総括

     神戸市広報には小さくテーマだけ掲載しての募集であったが、予想以上の参加者があり、科学に関する興味関心が小学生やその親には少なからずあることがわかった。

   • 終わりに

     アンケートの回答にも多数あったが同様の科学手品教室を機会あるたびに開催することは科学的ものの見方を啓発するのに役立つと思われる。また、アンケートの結果分析と、新たな科学手品を取り入れた報告会をH16年11月6日に行なう予定である。
