科目内容

現在、日本在住の外国人の数は200 万人を超え、医療を受ける機会も増えています。その際、言語や文化の違いのために、さまざまな問題に直面します。こうした場面で活躍するのが医療通訳であり、医療通訳コーディネーターです。2020 年の東京五輪を控え、その需要が高まり、厚生労働省もその育成に力を入れています。この講義は、神戸市外国語大学と神戸市看護大学が協力して実施する、語学を学ぶ人、看護学・医学を学ぶ人の接点となるユニークな授業です。将来医療通訳として活躍してみたい人、コーディネーターを志したい人のための入門講座で、今年度が4 回目です。例年、上記2 大学だけでなく、兵庫県立大学看護学部および神戸芸術工科大学の皆さんも熱心に受講して、毎回それぞれの視点からの活発な討議が行われ、大きな成果をあげています。異文化理解や医療制度、医療英語などの講義に加えて、ロールプレイによる医療通訳の演 習も行います。言語は英語を主体にする予定ですが、中国語、スペイン語の演習も行います。また外国籍の方や、大学院生の方も歓迎します。
