科目内容

比較社会論とは、原始社会・文明社会・近代社会という様々な社会類型を比較することによって、今われわれが生きている現代社会がいかなる社会であるかを考察し、さらに来るべき未来社会を構想することを目指す学問であり、「我々はどこから来たか? 我々は何ものか? 我々はどこへ行くのか?」という問いに答えるための、我々が現在手にしうるもっとも包括的な学問的枠組みです。

現在は混迷の時代でとりわけ「我々はどこに行くのか?」という問いには容易にこたえることはできないが、比較社会論はある程度未来社会の輪郭を描くことを可能にしてくれる学問です。
