科目内容

2011 年8 月「スポーツ基本法」が施行され、2012 年3 月には「スポーツ基本計画」が発表され、わが国の新たなスポーツ推進の幕が切って落とされたといえる。加えて、2019 年ラグビー・ワールドカップ、2020 年東京オリンピック・パラリンピック、2021 年関西ワールド・マスターズ・ゲームス、というメガ・スポーツ・イベントの開催が決定している。これまでのわが国ではこれほどまでにスポーツに対して関心が集中することはなかった。このようなスポーツを取り巻く状況は、今後の日本のスポーツ界のみならず社会、経済、政治、生活に対してさまざまな影響を与えていくことが推察され、日本社会の転換点となるであろう。

また、スポーツは世界中のどこでも、誰とでも、いつでも行うことができることから「国際共通語」、「世界共通文化」と言われ、グローバル社会においては必須科目とされている。こうしたことから、スポーツについて学習することは非常に重要かつ必要なことである。

本講義では、スポーツとは一体何なのか、スポーツ関連政策、スポーツの効果、スポーツと産業といった内容に触れながら、現代社会において運動・スポーツ、健康はいかなる意味・意義があるのか、運動・スポーツ、健康と経済活動との関わり等について社会科学の視点より考察・議論していく。主な内容は以下のとおりである。

8	スポーツと消費活動

評価方法

授業時間に実施する小レポート等35%、平常点（講義に対する姿勢、出席、発言等）15%、最終レポート50%
