科目内容

百聞は一見にしかず──それがこの講座のスローガンです。古今東西のアニメーション映画の代表作を、長編を中心になるべく数多く上映していきます。100 年強にわたるアニメーション史をひも解き、決して古びない普遍的な作品を厳選して紹介していきます。まずは観ること。次に、作品が作られた歴史的背景を知ること。作者の“ 思い” を想像すること。技術的な試みと試行錯誤の過程を理解すること。“ 観る” ことは“ 出会う” ことです。学生の一人一人が違う個性と資 質を持っているように、作品にもすべて個性がある。その出会いは皆さんに、一人一人別の感動と創作のインスピレーションを与えてくれるでしょう。前期は、日本のアニメーション史を飾る長編作品を紹介していきます。

評価方法

採り上げた作家と作品について観賞レポート( 感想文) を提出してもらう。講義内容を理解し、作家の特性や歴史的背景について概観できているどうかを判断し、評価の対象とする。2 週以上遅れた課題提出は認めない。出席率80% 未満、およびレポート提出率100% 未満は不可評価。遅刻は欠席あつかいとする。

履修にあたって

概ねシラバスに沿って監督と代表作品を採り上げていくので、事前に監督や作品の歴史的な位置づけなどについての下調べをしておくと、観賞時の内容理解を深める一助になる。また、講義中で同じ監督の別作品について触れる機会も多いので、講義後には、それら参考作品について独自に視聴するなどして視野を広げる努力をしてもらいたい。そのことが、翌週以降の別作品の鑑賞とも有機的に関連し合い、より立体的、俯瞰的な歴史理解、作品理解につながっていく。
