科目内容

100年強にわたるアニメーション史をひも解き、決して古びない普遍的な世界観を学び、 実際の作品を観ていく。作品鑑賞を通じ、作品が作られた歴史的背景を知ることで、 作者の“思い”を想像、理解し、説明できる能力を身につける。技術的な試みと試行錯誤の過程を理解し、説明できることを目指す。

古今東西のアニメーション映画の代表作を、数多く上映。前期「アニメーション原論」 では日本の作品を取り上げましたが、 後期「アニメ史」では海外作品を取り上げます。 よって、前期の「アニメーション原論」とセットで受講することが望ましい。

海外アニメに対する曖昧なイメージをなくし、国別、作家別に作品の具体的な特色を認 識し、歴史的背景との相関関係を把握できるようになることが目標です。

履修にあたって

概ねシラバスに沿って監督と代表作品を採り上げていくので、事前に監督や作品の歴史的 な位置づけなどについての下調べをしておくと、 観賞時の内容理解を深める一助になる。 また、講義中で同じ監督の別作品について触れる機会も多いので、講義後には、それら参考作品について独自に視聴するなどして 視野を広げる努力をしてもらいたい。 そのことが、翌週以降の別作品の鑑賞とも有機的に関連し合い、より立体的、俯瞰的な歴 史理解、作品理解につながっていく。 レポート提出率100％未満は不可評価。２週以上遅れた課題提出は認めない。遅刻は欠席あつかいとする。
