科目内容
人間は、「おしゃれ」することによって、自己を表現しようとする。民族衣装を着ること
は、単純にとらえればある民族への帰属を表しているが、歴史や文化に注目して視野を広
げてみると、衣装の形や色だけでなく、素材や技法などからも多様な情報を読み取ること
ができる。アジアを中心とした地域の様々な民族衣装の視覚資料から、それぞれの魅力と
その背後にある歴史や文化に触れ、より深く民族衣装を理解する。
また、民族衣装の素材から、染め、織り、刺繍などの技法についても学び、テキスタイ
ルに対する視野を広げる。
多様な文化背景をもつ「おしゃれ」に数多く触れ、理解を深めながら、日本と東アジア、
東南アジア、南アジア地域の民族衣装を、テキスタイルからの視点でとらえられるように
なることを目標とする。

評価方法
授業中に実施する小レポートを50％と試験期間におこなう定期試験50％で評価。

- 資料を配布する。

履修にあたって
図書館などで次回授業のキーワードと質問事項について調べ、予習をすること。授業後に 配布資料をファイルし、図書館で参考図書のリストから本を借りて読むなどの復習をおこ なうこと。1/3以上の欠席は授業放棄とみなし、原則として単位付与はしない。
