科目内容

現在、私たちがデザイン作業の基盤としているデジタル環境（DTP技術）の中にも多くの歴史的な「印刷」のための生産技術と知識の体系が組み込まれています。この講義では「グラフィックデザイン」の基礎知識としての「印刷の歴史」を通観するだけではなく、個々の時代の特徴的な「印刷技術」や、そうした技術を要請した時代・地域における「社会」と「印刷」の関係にも注意をはらいたいと思います。その上で、現代の私たちが直面している新しい「電子媒体」の個人・社会への影響についても考察し、IT 社会の中での「デザイン・印刷・出版」についてデザインをするものの立場から考察いたします。

評価方法

毎回、授業時間内で課する「小レポート（あるいはアンケート）」、随時出題する「イメージ課題」、講評時の「イメージ課題」のプレゼンテーション、以上のすべてを総合的に評価します。
