< リレー講義-英米文学文化と「夢」>（Relay Lectures on 'Dreams'）

英米学科文学文化系教員全員がリレー形式で行う入門講義です。各講師が、それぞれの専門領域を踏まえて、英米文学・文化研究の面白さと研究の基本的な形を、分かりやすく解説していきます。

本年度のテーマは<夢>。国家や個人の理想や壮大な将来設計も夢でしょうし、個人の無意識の表出ももちろん夢、あるいは作家や詩人の想像力の世界も夢の世界と言えるかもしれません。確かな現実に対置される「夢」は、常にある種のはかなさを伴い、時には悪夢のようにおぞましい世界を現出させますが、一方でその同じ「夢」が人々を輝かしい未来へと誘ってもいく。「夢」には、共同体や個人のどのような要素が滲み出しているのか。様々な夢の位相を、多様な作家や国、研究領域を通して探ってみましょう。

11	Farrah 教授: An Introduction to Galway Kinnell and The Book of Nightmares
12	松永准教授:African American Dreams and Civil Rights
13	西川教授: 夢の中の邂逅-テニスン『イン・メモリアム』
14	難波江教授:"American Dream"という悪夢: スタインベックの『二十日鼠と人間』
15	レポート作成

評価方法

前半・後半各一回ずつレポートを提出。その総合点で評価する。

教科書

各講師がプリントを配布する。

参考図書

特になし。（講師によっては指定する場合もある。）

履修にあたって

入門講義なので特に1,2 年生に履修してもらいたい。さまざまな講義を聴き比べることがリレー講義の狙いなので、毎回出席を心がけること。

なお、都合で講義の順番が変更される場合もある。
